Many actions hide behind a long press (press and hold). On the map: long-press any point on a loaded track or route to enter the navigation right there. On the buttons: the search button shows your history, the POI button opens the POI list, the mountain button opens the pass filter. And in the profile quick-switch, a long press on a profile opens its editor.
The + and − buttons on the left edge zoom the map in and out. They are always visible. You can also zoom with a two-finger pinch gesture directly on the map.
Centers the map on your current GPS position. Tap it a second time and it toggles between orange and gray: orange means the map automatically follows your position; gray switches the automatic centering off — you are now in planning mode and can move the map freely without it jumping back. The button is always visible.

Toggles between north-up (the classic map view) and heading-up, where the map rotates so your direction of travel always points up. Always visible.
Opens the map style picker: OSM, Azure, HERE, satellite, hybrid, TopPlus, Michelin and more — each with day/night and relief variants. Always visible. More about the individual maps later in this tour.

Searches for addresses, places and POIs. A long press opens your search history. The button is shown in portrait orientation; in landscape you will find the search in the actions overview (the ⋮ button).
Opens a tile overview with all map functions: search, POI search, refresh, recording, centering, map style, routing profile, passes, traffic and more. Useful when a button is not directly visible — everything can be reached from here. Always visible.
Starts and stops track recording. While recording, the dot is red and a REC indicator appears in the info panel; tap again to stop. Recorded tracks are stored under the Tracks tab. Always visible.
The green play button starts navigation along the loaded route or track; during navigation it turns into a red stop button. It is only visible when a route or track is loaded on the map.

Plays back the loaded route as a simulated drive — ideal for checking a route or getting to know the navigation display at home. Only visible when a route is loaded and you are not currently navigating. More about simulation in the navigation section.

Shows the icon of the active routing profile and opens the quick-switch sheet with all your profiles. From there you can also open the profile editor. Always visible. More about profiles in the routing section.
Toggles the visibility of your POI pins on the map; a long press opens the POI list. This button only appears when you actually have POIs — with an empty POI list it stays hidden.
